Aide Volontaire aux Orphelins et Vulnerables (Avov Ministries) is a faith-based humanitarian organization founded in the USA. The ministry was founded by Evangelist Amisi Amani, together with Zabibu Idi’s mother, after visiting several refugee camps where they encountered many orphaned children, widows, and elderly people.
In Musasa Refugee Camp, Ngozi Province, Burundi, they met Congolese war refugees living in difficult conditions. Moved by their suffering, they started the ministry to provide spiritual guidance, food, recreational activities, and vocational training. Today, Avov Ministries continues to empower and care for refugees, bringing hope and dignity to those affected by conflict.
Guided by the teaching of Jesus in Gospel of Matthew 25:40, which reminds us that “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me,” Avov Ministries continues to serve communities with compassion. Today, the ministry works alongside local communities to protect orphaned and vulnerable children, provide humanitarian support, and create environments where young lives can grow in safety, education, and spiritual encouragement.
